Holy Crap San Jose you really came out in full force to support your favorite Bands! After last nights stellar show at The Avalon we have been checking and double-checking the vote counts and are ready to announce the winners of the 2010 South Bay Your Music Olympicks Live Performance Event.

The Your Music Magazine South Bay Band Olympicks began Saturday, JUNE 5TH 2010 @ the Venuez, a great new club in Santa Clara. The Venuez has an excellent stage, lighting, sound, and capacity. The first two preliminary shows were held at The Venuez, then we moved the preliminary “Live Performance Event” over to Mountain Charley’s for Thursday June 17^th & July 1^st. We had a blast there, and here are the "Best Vocalist" winners - Gold medal goes to Todd from Dimidium, Silver medal was Nichole from Cadent, Bronze was Luke from Bigeye.  The last 2 preliminary shows (July 8^th & 15^th) will be at The Avalon, off of Lawrence Expressway in Santa Clara. The Avalon is world famous for their live music accommodations. Throughout the “Live Performance” preliminary events each person that buys a ticket will receive a ballot to vote for their favorite band. At the end of the six preliminary shows the top six vote earning bands will move on to the Finals Friday July 30^th at The Avalon!

This 3^rd Annual SJ YMO Finals is shaping up to be an amazing showcase of local talent with 7 bands performing. The Finals are Friday night July 30^th at Avalon NightClub in Santa Clara, so get their early to enjoy all the bands. Show starts at 8:00 and the cover is less than two dollars a band at $12.00. This is an All Ages show so everyone can come out and vote for their favorite band.
