Now I don't know how I found this band but I though they were very interesting by there dark scary appearances and there sick black metal riffs, I'm not to into the how black metal, just because it all sounds the same to me, but this one is an exception , check them out you like this kind of music , you wont be disappointed

Benji- Can you state you name and band name for the record?
Neurasthenic- S. Rodier (Cypher) – Drums, P. Labbé (Decay)–Vocals,S.Lemire (Maelsthorn) – Guitars, Keyboard, K. Gosselin(Neurasthenic) – Bass, Orchestrations,M. Hébert (Trauma)-Guitars

Benji- I have to ask, are these you're real names, and what does Neurasthenic, Maelsthorn, Cypher, and Ebhören mean, what do the names stand for?
Maelsthorn-We chose names that suits our characters. Having a
Nickname is, I think, part of the black metal tradition. Before we decided to go with the nicknames we analyzed if it was really worth it, if it was really to add something to the band. We finally decided that nicknames are a part of the tradition we wanted to maintain, as they add to the mysterious side of the image and to the concept of the album. Neurasthenic, It is very personal and surely too long to explain.

Benji- Who came up with the name Gotherfall, and what is behind its meaning?
Maelsthorn- I did. I wanted a good sounding name for the band, but also with a strong meaning. I came with the word "GOTHËRFALL" playing
With God (Gott, Götter in German) and Mother/Father. If I had to give a synonym for GOTHËRFALL, it would be "Liberation". Decay: To me, GOTHËRFALL is much more than a band name. It is the end of
Everything; the process by which man is walking toward Armageddon. It is the very last step of humanity wherein we're all engaged, intentionally or not.

Benji- What idie label are you guys signed to?
Neurasthenic-If someday you are able to produce an album in your career, you will discover has which point the process can be long and
Expensive. The expression of the artist through of his music is the primary importance and it is by these inner emotions that he can transmit his message. GOTHËRFALL do not absolutely want to contaminate our emotions by external pressures or capitalist major label requests. It is why I created HYBRID MUSIK our own label. It makes possible to assure a quality standard higher than the average of the labels. If you take a look about our album, we did a limited edition (1000 copies) including a GOTHËRFALL guitar pick, a silver stickers and an autentification card that enabled us to be expressed our music to the maximum that we want with longer songs, including one of 20 minutes, and a booklet of 24 full color pages. Benji- Any plans to come to the states to tour anytime soon?
Neurasthenic-Of course we want! We are seeking for a U.S.A. promoter to play some spectacles in important cities. Until now we did not found serious offers, but we continue to seek. We played with some black Metal band from U.S.A at Montréal but we still waiting for a biggest tour, we think it could be very nice to share the stage with SOTHIS in the next few months because we play a similar type of Black Metal.

Benji- What message if any are you trying to send out to the fans?
Maelsthorn-Your time is here and now. There is no afterlife whatsoever. Do what you have to do. Be your own God. Wisely spend every second of your life. Don't limit yourself. Break those who stand in your way, but
Never do something that could cause harm to the next generations.

Benji- In your opinion what changes if any need to be made in the music industry?
Neurasthenic-As I mentioned before, I believe the time has come to act by our self as an own-producer and a own-distributor by the means of the Internet.Manners change with the wire of times and it is necessary to bring the fan of black metal has to buy directly of the artist instead of giving their money to a Major label, who doesn't care about it. Contribute directly to the artist give him the possibility to invest the money received quickly in the production of new material and to answer quickly about request of the fans.

Benji- What do you guys do in you spare time for fun?
Maelsthorn - We don't really have spare time. We study and/or work. Otherwise we spend all our time with GOTHËRFALL, trying to improve our
art.
Neurasthenic- Usual things: study, work, party, have sex with girl…

Benji- What religion are you guys and why?
Maelsthorn- I can say that none of us is an adept of the grand
Institutionalized religions. Some of us are still searching for the
Religion that suit them best, while others are atheist. I believe that
Every man shall be strong enough to stand as his own God.

Benji- What can the fans expect to see at Gothërfall show?
Maelsthorn- Violence, hate, blood (if you are lucky), bibles being torn apart...We try to make people unveil the wilderness that lies in every man. It is the perfect place for those who have frustrations and bad energy to release, because we provide the means to illustrate these frustrations. We act as everything you hate, everything you love. We have seen people cry in our shows because of the intensity of the atmosphere we create. You can call it a therapy, a place where you just close your eyes, scream as loud as you can and hit everyone around you...

Benji- When do you expect the album to be done and in the stores?
Neurasthenic- The album is available since July 2006, but like I said
