DevilDriver interview with Dez Fafara at Shoreline, Sounds of the Underground by: Benji Womack

Benji: What..s your favorite type of wine?
Dez: ahh..Mostly Italian, I like good Chianti.

Benji: Tell me the highlights of the show.
Dez: This thing is like a big B.B.Q. man, everybody..s just hanging out. Hanging out with all the bands would be the highlight; we..ve come away with some significant friendships.

Benji: Do you ever get to check out the local music scenes while you're out on tour?
Dez: Ya...a little bit. I like to support bands out of our home town. I..ve actually signed bands out of my home town.

Benji: What..s next for DevilDriver?
Dez: After the Sounds of the Underground we play the Whiskey on Sunset Aug. 5th, on Aug. 22nd we are main support for Slipknot in Vegas. We..ll be playing with Gwar and then Lamb of God.

Benji: So, is there a special someone in your life or is it just some lucky lady you meet at the next show?
Dez: No, its just one lady for the last nine years. The girl on the front cover of the ??? album is my wife Anistatia.

Benji: Any advice to bands trying to make it?
Dez: Play, Play, Play....burn a bunch of demos and give ..em away and good luck to ya.
