Benji: What do you think about the line-up at Gigantour?
Raymond: I think it..s kind of cool. It resembles more of a European type festival. In Europe it..s very common for us to play with a band like Dream Theater; out here it would be like ..What?.. It would be like weird. So I guess is a good thing because now we get fans that may not know Fear Factory., but check us out because we are playing with Dream Theater.

Benji: Who came up with the name Fear Factory and what does it mean?
Raymond: This guy Dave, who was Dino and Burt..s roommate at the time, came up with the name. We thought it was cool because Fear is like the metal element and Factory is the industrial element, which is what we were looking for.

Benji: Tell me about the feeling you get when you..re performing on stage?
Raymond: Well, when we first started it was more nervous than anything else, but now I..m more used to it. I don..t get to attached to being on stage anymore like I used to when I was a kid.

Benji: Which of your past albums sold the most?
Raymond: Obsolete.

Benji: Explain the difference between the fans in the US and the fans in Europe.
Raymond: In the US I don..t think the fans are as attached to the music as in Europe. In the US, things move a lot quicker, everything is fast paced. In Europe, there is a little bit more of a following, a little bit more of a Grateful Dead..esqe fans. In Europe, people will travel thousands of miles to see a band. We would see the same fans in different countries; it..s a little more heavy duty out there.

Benji: What..s coming up for Fear Factory?
Raymond: After this tour we have a few dates in England, and then we head back to the States with Shadows Fall. Then back to Europe in December. The record comes out August 23rd; we..ll start writing the new record in a couple of months.
