Yeah that's exactly how it felt. It was hotter than a devil's anus on Pier 30 that day, and the energy only added to the sweltering heat. This was my first Warped Tour, very overwhelming when you're a photographer who has to run around the whole place all day. I ain't complaining though; it was one hell of an experience.

JOAN JETT
Photobucket - Video and Image HostingPhotobucket - Video and Image HostingPhotobucket - Video and Image HostingPhotobucket - Video and Image HostingI got to see many unknown bands as well as many well-known bands. There were only a couple bands that really sucked. Overall it was a great festival of hard hitting music. Everyone really seemed to be enjoying themselves despite the gallons of sweat dripping out of their pores. Hundred of booths packed the isles, ranging from places to buy punk apparel (probably more for the posers), places you can meet your favorite artist and of course, cell phone companies and other corporations who feel punk music can bring them money.

ANTI FLAGPhotobucket - Video and Image HostingPhotobucket - Video and Image HostingPhotobucket - Video and Image HostingPhotobucket - Video and Image HostingPhotobucket - Video and Image HostingNow I'm gonna be all honest, like a journalist should be. The corporate side of the Warped Tour is an ugly bitch. Example, they know how hot it is, they know how thirsty people get, so they decide to charge $3 for the smallest bottle of water you could possible get. On top of this you are not allowed to leave and come back in, there are no water fountains and you can't bring any water in the venue. So basically, if you want to drink water, be prepared to spend at least $20 so you don't collapse of dehydration. Great job corporate pigs. Yeah go ahead and rape the 13-16 year olds for whatever little money they have. You should feel good about yourselves, jackasses.

AGAINST ME

Great shit. It's good to see little groms destroy a mini, and they even had a contest on it later.

So it was about 8 hours of craziness soaked in sweat with ears blaring from the musical sounds coming from all directions. The great thing is that a lot of bands had the chance to be heard by a lot of new people. Great exposure and a great way to land some new fans. What an experience to remember, at least until next year when they come around again. I'll be there that's for sure, but I ain't paying for water. I'm gonna bootleg that shit in next time.
