YMM: What is Sounds Of The Underground? Trevor Strnad [vocalist, The Black Dahlia Murder]: Sounds Of The Underground is a tour full of really good bands. It's a hardcore and metal tour, and it's awesome. Brian Eschbach [guitarist, The Black Dahlia Murder]: It's not just a tour, but also a feeling and a state of mind. And a drive to rock and roll! YMM: What artist outside of the metal genre do you think should be on Sounds Of The Underground? Trevor Strnad [vocalist, The Black Dahlia Murder]: I think it would be cool to have some sort of a wild card like Melt Banana or something..just something really weird. Like when they had The Bordums on Lollapolooza, that was really cool.. Brian Eschbach [guitarist, The Black Dahlia Murder]: I've always wanted to see Porno for Pyros everday, and if they were here on the tour, I could see that. Trevor Strnad [vocalist, The Black Dahlia Murder]: Like if Body Count was here or something like that? Brian Eschbach [guitarist, The Black Dahlia Murder]: Yeah Body Count! That would be sick! YMM: What band throws the biggest parties? Ravi [guitarist, Job For A Cowboy]: Well, we've only been here for 2 days, so we're not quite sure.. YMM: Jonny, how do you do your pig squeals? Jonny [vocalist, Job For A Cowboy]: I take a lot of vitamins, and I eat a lot of chipotle. YMM: Are there any clichés about Sounds Of The Underground? If so, what makes them true or false? Jonny [vocalist, Job For A Cowboy]: That the bands are all douche bags but they're really not..they're all extremely nice. That's the only one that I've heard.. YMM: What's the funniest joke you've heard and/or witnessed on Sounds Of The Underground? Brian Eschbach [guitarist, The Black Dahlia Murder]: We focus more on real stories and life happenings..Last night the cops definitely thought I was trying to asphyxiate myself with the van's carbon monoxide. But I was sleeping in the back of the van..but we weren't in a garage, we were in a big open parking lot..but still, 8 cops had to jimmy the door and pull me out by my ankles, to make sure I was still alive. Trevor Strnad [vocalist, The Black Dahlia Murder]: They thought you tried to fill up the entire "garage," which was Las Vegas! Oh my God, WE WERE OUTSIDE!!! |
